Kissan Bisse, meaning “Cats Beer” in Finnish, is a small craft brewery that brings together bold flavours, humour, and creative expression. The brand celebrates unique brewing with a playful twist, designed to stand out, make people smile, and leave a lasting impression.
Challenge
The brewery needed a visual identity that felt fun and memorable without losing sight of quality. Each beer had its own personality and flavour story, so the challenge was to create a branding system that allowed for creativity, consistency, and a dose of irreverent charm.
Approach
I created a lively brand identity that combines bold type, strong colour palettes, and custom illustrations tailored to each beer. Every label features a unique character or visual element that captures the beer’s name and personality. For example, Night Meower is a bold 8% IPA brewed to keep you meowing into the night. The illustrations add humour and storytelling while giving the brand a handcrafted, cohesive feel.
Result
The final identity strikes a balance between playful and professional. The custom illustrations and label designs bring each beer to life, creating a recognisable and character-driven brand that connects with customers through flavour and fun.
