ESOMAR is the global voice of the market research and data analytics industry. As a long-standing authority, they publish a wide range of in-depth industry and annual reports targeted at professionals and decision-makers around the world.

Challenge

They needed a way to bring life to complex, text-heavy reports—each requiring a distinct visual identity—while still feeling recognisably part of the ESOMAR brand. The challenge was to create engaging, readable designs that respected both the seriousness of the content and the diversity of topics covered.

Approach

I developed a flexible design system that allowed each report to stand on its own, yet stay connected to the ESOMAR family. This included custom icons, layouts, and visual styles tailored to the report themes, all while keeping within the brand’s colour palette and type system. From concept development to final delivery, I led the entire process and worked closely with ESOMAR’s marketing team to ensure content and visuals worked hand in hand.

Result

More than five reports were launched on time, each with its own distinct look but clearly part of the same design language. The refreshed layouts improved readability and engagement, and stakeholders shared positive feedback on how much more accessible and polished the reports felt. This consistent visual identity helped reinforce ESOMAR’s brand across its reports and publications.
