2024 Annual Report Design

RNW Media is a Netherlands-based international NGO that supports young people in restrictive settings to make informed choices, claim their rights, and influence their societies. Through digital media and local partnerships, they create inclusive online spaces that enable youth to engage, express themselves, and drive social change. They needed a professionally designed annual report to clearly present their mission, impact, and key achievements in a visually compelling and accessible way.

Challenge

As with many annual reports, the content was dense and information heavy by nature. The challenge was to bring clarity, lightness, and visual interest to the document without losing depth. It needed to be easy to navigate, visually engaging, and aligned with RNW Media’s brand and tone of voice.

Approach

I designed a clean, structured layout using RNW Media’s brand guidelines, incorporating strong visual hierarchy, pull quotes, infographics, and photography to guide the reader and break up long sections of text. The report was created in InDesign and delivered as a professionally formatted PDF, ready for sharing across digital channels. Collaboration with their team was smooth, and each feedback round brought clarity and focus, helping us shape the strongest possible end result.

Result

The final outcome was a polished, on-brand annual report of over 60 pages that clearly communicated RNW Media’s impact and activities. The design brought structure, accessibility, and visual energy to complex content, and the project came together through thoughtful and effective collaboration.
